Rare is the beauty of a September morning
after a thunderstorm the night before.
Air is cool and dry, sun sifts softly through leaves,
And, nature glistens in gratitude for life giving rain.
I sit in wonder taking it all in.

Late afternoon sunlight angles gently through a sift of green
reminding me that fall is on the way – why am I always ready-
ready for the change that a new season brings?
Mother Nature proves once again that she is in command,
and we are merely along for the ride. She moves at her own pace.
And, as each seasons begins I always think that I will never tire of it –
but, of course I do.
I’m always ready to welcome the next season
with its traditions and whatever surprises it brings.
